Setting up personalized subtitles

This guide covers how to record a base video for a personalized project.

Adding a Script

  1. Select words for personalization.

    • In the script, select a single word or a phrase for personalization.

    • In the drop-down menu, choose "Text" and click on the + icon right next to it.

  1. Define Variables

    • Enter a descriptive name for your variable (e.g., "first_name", "company_name")

    • Ensure the variable name matches exactly how it appears in your CRM or database

  1. Save the name of the variable.

  1. Repeat the Process

    • Continue steps above for all words you want to personalize in your script

    • Double-check that all intended personalization points are marked

  1. Publish Your Project

    • Once satisfied with your personalization setup, locate the "Publish project" button at the bottom of the page.

Tips:

  • Use clear, consistent naming conventions for your variables

  • Avoid over-personalizing, focus on key elements for maximum impact

  • Consider how different lengths of personalized text might affect subtitle timing and readability

Next Steps: After publishing, your video will start processing.

You'll be able to import your recipient data and generate personalized subtitles for each viewer in the "Personalized Projects" tab.
