Automatic backgrounds allow you to personalize your videos for each viewer, displaying content like their website, LinkedIn profile, or other tailored weblinks in the background.

What is Automatic Background Scrolling?

Automatically change what scrolls behind your video, it could be a website, Linkedin profile, video or even an image. This feature creates an instant connection by showing only relevant backgrounds to each recipient.

Why add Automatic Background Scrolling?

Get increased engagement, as viewers see personalized content, potentially leading to better communication outcomes and stronger relationships. The ability to import web links in bulk and auto-scroll websites as dynamic backgrounds for each viewer adds efficiency to the personalization process, making it a powerful tool for creating impactful, individualized video content at scale.

How to Setup Automatic Backgrounds?

  1. Add a new Background by Clicking on "+ Add background"

  2. Set the Timeframe

    • Choose when the dynamic background should appear

    • Select the start and end times on the right

    • Ensure the timeframe is at least 2 seconds long

  3. Name the Variable

    • Assign a clear, descriptive name to the automatic background variable

    • This name will be used to reference the personalized content

Other Settings

  • Choose whether to keep face visible while scrolling the website or not by toggling it on the right.

  • Fix the Camera bubble position to suit your asthetic.

Configuring Content Source

Specify where the personalized content should be pulled from (e.g., viewer's website, LinkedIn profile)

How to add LinkedIn profiles as Backgrounds?

These steps are necessary to be performed to display LinkedIN profile URLs.

For Chrome:

  1. Log in to the Gan.AI account

  2. Select the project for which LinkedIn access code needs to be set up

  3. Click on 'Project settings'

  4. Go to 'Dynamic backgrounds'

  5. Go to your LinkedIn profile page and press Cmd + Shift + C for Mac or Ctrl + Shift + I for Windows to open the inspect window for the page.

  6. Click on the Application panel at the top.

  7. In the left panel, under the Storage section, click on the Cookies dropdown.

  8. In the dropdown, click on the LinkedIn URL.

  9. In the right section, copy the value corresponding to li_at (as shown in the demo) and paste it in the Gan platform.

For Safari:

  1. Log in to the Gan.AI account

  2. Select the project for which LinkedIn access code needs to be set up

  3. Click on 'Project settings'

  4. Go to 'Dynamic backgrounds'

  5. Go to your LinkedIn profile page and press Cmd + Shift + C.

  6. Click on the Storage panel at the top.

  7. In the left panel, click on the Cookies dropdown.

  8. In the dropdown, click on the LinkedIn URL.

  9. In the right section, double click in li_at & copy it's value (as shown in the demo).

  10. Paste the copied value in the Gan platform.

How to add Facebook profiles as Backgrounds?

These steps are necessary to be performed to display LinkedIN profile URLs.

For Chrome:

  1. Go to your Facebook profile page and press Cmd + Shift + C for Mac or Ctrl + Shift + I for Windows to open the inspect window for the page.

  2. Click on the Application panel at the top.

  3. In the left panel, under the Storage section, click on the Cookies dropdown.

  4. In the dropdown, click on the Facebook URL.

  5. In the right section, copy the values corresponding to xs and c_user (as shown in the demo) and paste it in the Gan platform.

For Safari:

  1. Go to your Facebook profile page and press Cmd + Shift + C.

  2. Click on the Storage panel at the top.

  3. In the left panel, click on the Cookies dropdown.

  4. In the dropdown, click on the Facebook URL.

Remember to save your changes after configuring the dynamic background settings.
